Nibble and Squeak gathers families with young children around the table together for special meals. Adults can relax about feeding or rocking or calming their children, without fear of disturbing others. It's a supportive dining community where you can meet likeminded parents. And the little ones also really enjoy it: they get the chance to try new things, they socialize with each other -- it's fun for them too!
On March 25th, we're celebrating Mother's Day with a bold, delicious and indulgent feast at Taberna do Mercado!
Taberna do Mercado is a joint effort between Nuno Mendes and head chef Antonio Galapito to capture and reinterpret Portuguese food and flavours whilst championing specially sourced Portuguese ingredients.
Our feasting MENU includes some of Portugal’s best festive dishes, the centrepiece of which is a Portuguese-style leitão assado, a suckling pig slowly roasted and basted until it develops a creamy texture.

Cheese: Serra da Estrela amanteigado sheep’s cheese, mild
Cured meat: Chouriço de Vinho, red wine chouriço / Porco Preto CPP
Tinned fish: Dorset char, fennel and lemon / Cod and chickpeas
Main event: Whole suckling pig / Whole monkfish tail
Small Plates: TBC – seasonal dishes
Dessert: Pão de Ló creamy egg sponge cake with olive oil / Abade de Priscos egg yolk and pork fat pudding with port
RSVP is required so that we can allow preparations for our *unique* group. We can accommodate dietary restrictions, just please indicate on your order form. Tickets are all-inclusive of food, a soft drink or coffee, VAT and gratuity, so there's nothing extra to pay on the day -- you can just enjoy!
