Melissa is the founder of Nibble+squeak. A former expat mama, she lived in London for a decade, and returned to her home turf (NYC) with pipsqueak-in-tow and an outsized appetite!
To connect with likeminded (read: food-obsessed) parents, she created Nibble+squeak, an inclusive dining community.
Hong Kong: Alice
Born and raised in Southern California, Alice was quite the picky eater as a child until she spent a semester of college in Spain that awakened her taste buds, as well as, gained her 15 lbs. After graduating, Alice worked doing Product Placement and then Real Estate knowing she loved meeting new people and building relationships. In 2011, Alice and her husband, Dennis, were offered an expatriate opportunity in Shanghai and moved to Asia where they were then able to take advantage of the close proximity to other countries and began exploring countries one bite at a time. As expats, they have become accustomed to constantly needing to make new friends as people come and go quite frequently, but have found the best way to get to know someone is always over a good meal and some wine. Now, having settled in Hong Kong for 2 years and with two children, Lorelai and Myles, they hope to continue exploring all the flavors that surround them.
Manhattan: Ali
A Partner at Nibble+squeak, Ali is the Head of Events and Community. Ali and her husband Rich have two young sons, Benjamin and Asher. When not "bjorning" her way around Manhattan Ali and her family spend time in upstate NY at their cattle farm.
Caroline and her family moved back to Nashville, TN in 2017 after living in Philadelphia for 5 years. Caroline and her husband, Doug, met at the University of Tennessee and fell in love over a large bowl of pasta and a lively college football debate. They have a daughter, Parker Leigh, and a dog, Jones, who are inseparable and the best of friends. She believes that the best way to get to know a new city is to eat your way through it and is currently obsessing over the growing food scene that Nashville has to offer.
Hong Kong: Hsuan’ya
Growing up in Singapore, a country where food was often defined as ‘The Culture’, Hsuanya was born with adventurous taste buds, and always curious about what the world outside the small island had to offer.
After spending years in London and New York, she’s now stationed in Hong Kong (for the second time) with her son Vidar & husband Marcus.
Jenn moved to Philadelphia from Brooklyn in 2016. While she was working as a freelance photographer, doing copious amounts of yoga, and volunteering to help save shelter dogs, Jenn and her husband bonded over a love of good food in New York City. Now happily settled in Philadelphia, they are sharing that love with their daughter.

London: Flora
Flora loves butter, travel and art.
Flora's passion for food started at a young age and she shares this with her bairn (who could crack an egg better than his Daddy before he was three).
Originally from Canada, she has eaten her way through 37 countries and counting. She currently lives with her husband and mini me in London.
She dreams of Canadian lobster.
Chicago: Nicole
After spending the last five years in New York City, Nicole is happy to back in her hometown of Chicago. She is currently taking a hiatus from teaching to be home with her son. She enjoys exploring all Chicago has to offer, especially the dynamic food scene!
Meghan was born and raised in New Jersey. Not one to shy away from adventure, she married a naval officer, moved cross-country (twice), lived abroad and even called an RV ‘home’ for several months. When it came time to return to the civilian world, Meghan and her family chose to settle in Houston. Her latest adventure is exploring Houston’s expansive culinary scene (which represents more than 70 countries!) with her youngest diners!
Washington DC: Ashley
Ashley lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband, Jeff, and daughter, Ruby. Ashley is originally from West Virginia and attended West Virginia University before going on to graduate school at Michigan State University for Marketing and Advertising. She moved to the DC area in 2009 where she endeavored to never visit the same restaurant twice for a year...which lasted about 3 months. But in the process, she became a lover of the growing DC food scene.

Anne -- a Midwesterner by birth -- has made London her home for the last 13 years. She lives on a converted Dutch Barge on the Thames with her zookeeper husband, two gigantic ginger Maine Coons and a rambunctious baby girl called Harper. To steal a line from her favourite podcast Sporkful: Anne is an eater, not a foodie. From corn dogs to coq au vin; sashimi to shepherd's pie; poutine to pickled herring -- and everything in between, the girl likes her food -- especially trying new things.
Somer is a southern-born lover of food. After graduating college near Atlanta, she spent 8 years in Washington, DC, where she worked in business development for a major law firm. More importantly, she met her husband and then became mommy to a baby boy in 2014, all the while exploring the foodie scene from NYC to D.C. Now living back in Atlanta with a second baby boy, Somer is enjoying a new love affair with her hometown's growing and diverse dining scene, from xiao long bao on Buford Highway to crispy quail near Peachtree.
After 9 years of living in New York City, Kelsey moved down to Austin with her family. Originally from Colorado, she attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she earned a degree in Marketing. In NYC, she spent 6 years at advertising agencies and then 3 years at Cisse Cocoa Co., a startup food brand, as their Director of Marketing and taste tester of their delicious products. Dining out is one of Kelsey's favorite activities and she loves exploring Austin's booming dining scene and of course trying out all the tacos. She specially loves doing so with her husband and young children, Archer and Wren.
Miami: Juan and Stephanie
Juan and Stephanie are a dynamic parent duo team from South Florida who are dedicated to instilling a love of good food in their twin daughters from an early age. Having lived in New York City, one of the foodie capitals of the world, both are very passionate about eating quality cuisines from around the world and want to share that passion with their girls. Juan, a devoted father and self-proclaimed “foodie”, works at a university and when he’s not busy working or with his twin girls, he’s busy writing about travel, parenting and the latest foodie spots in his blog, doubledutydaddy.com. Stephanie is a loving mommy who splits her time between creating pre-school art projects and working full-time on the communications team of a large tech start-up company.
Together they are raising their twin daughters in South Florida and hope to instill the same love of food in their daughters through the Miami chapter of Nibble+squeak.
San Francisco: Joanna
Joanna grew up in Texas (which explains her love of chicken fried steak, Tex-Mex and kolaches) but has called Northern California home since her days at UC Berkeley, where she studied business and communications. After working in SF as a management consultant, she continued on to get her MBA at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and spent a number of years at various advertising agencies in NYC. Joanna currently works in digital marketing and is a geek about everything brand, design, innovation - and food! She considers herself an eater, not a foodie, and enjoys trying new restaurants in the Bay Area with family and friends.
Will travel for food...
Alicia is a voracious and enthusiastic eater. Born and raised in Hawaii, she fell in love with plate lunch, spam musubi, and poke. In her nine years in New York (at NYU as an undergraduate and as an attorney after law school) she often subsisted on street meat and the occasional Michelin-starred meal. While living in San Francisco she gained a deep appreciation for wine and dim sum. Now, if you can catch her at home in Seattle, you'll find her exploring up-and-coming restaurants and chefs when she's not cooking for (and with) her husband and daughter.
Keenan and I met at a restaurant in Seattle; Keenan was working in the bar and I was working at the kitchen. We both love delicious food, spirit-driven cocktails, dry wines and top-notch restaurant service. Since having our little girl, Kawena, we have enjoyed exploring restaurants with her.
Omaha
Sarah is a fan of all the things relating to good food, but especially dining in restaurants. Luckily Omaha
has more restaurants per capita than any other city – or so the locals here like to say. With a background
in mechanical engineering and sustainable design for commercial buildings, Sarah prides herself on
attention to detail and effective communication. This comes in handy during her spare time, whether
planning local foodie events or leading fitness classes. Speaking of spare time, there’s somehow less of
that these days with a toddler and a baby. But there is no greater joy than hearing your child say those
magic words, “More miso soup, please.”
